Kung Yashna

Kung Yashna is the art of balance and the way to awakening and attaining the truth.

What is Kung Yashna?

Years of research in philosophy and ancient martial arts, coupled with parallel studies in psychology, have enabled me to discover numerous commonalities between psychology and the ancient philosophy of mind-body knowledge. However, mere recognition of these shared roots was insufficient to align both disciplines towards enhancing societal and individual well-being.

The ancient knowledge and techniques of the East have often veered off course due to economic motives and the influence of anti-rational beliefs, making it challenging for individuals lacking deep philosophical and scientific insights to discern truths from fallacies. Therefore, drawing from psychological science and philosophical realism, I endeavored to extract the essence of spirituality and ancient knowledge related to mental and physical health, and to repurpose these invaluable arts beneficially. This approach aims to promote holistic well-being through a blend of scientific knowledge, wisdom, and heightened consciousness.

In today’s era, we must not only challenge historical beliefs but also scrutinize the impact of information technology on shaping human cognition. This necessitates a paradigm shift in our way of life, where science guides us in distinguishing genuine spirituality from superstition and aligns with moral values. The ultimate aim is to harmonize science and authentic spirituality, fostering a synergy that enriches human existence without conflict. It’s crucial to acknowledge that superstitions no longer suffice as answers to existential queries. While material aspects are essential, the moral fabric of human life draws strength from spiritual insights, rooted not in superstition or religion but in introspection and critical thinking.

This form of spirituality encourages a deeper understanding of life’s complexities and cultivates mindfulness, serving as a bulwark against technological intrusions on human thought and promoting cognitive clarity.Contrary to common misconceptions, spirituality complements rather than contradicts science, in contrast to rigid religious doctrines.

True spirituality embraces curiosity, self-discovery, and adaptability, encouraging individuals to explore the world and themselves with openness and humility. While historical practices like yoga and Kung Fu embody centuries-old wisdom on physical and mental health, their evolution has been influenced by societal needs, rituals, and religions, leading to remnants of historical superstitions. Despite this, they offer invaluable insights into human thought and serve as artistic and philosophical treasures.

However, some traditional spiritual methods, influenced by politics or extreme asceticism, may diverge from practical life realities and hinder the pursuit of genuine human goals. Internal martial arts, if not grounded in psychological realities, can foster unrealistic expectations among practitioners. In contrast, disciplines like Kung Yashna aim to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and contemporary psychological understanding, offering a truly internal martial art that empowers individuals to navigate their psyche’s complexities positively and shape their destinies effectively.
